On June 4, celebrate Connecticut Trails Day by spending a morning with fellow outdoor enthusiasts on the Granby Land Trust’s Mary Edwards Mountain property. This family-friendly nature walk will be led by GLT Board Member and middle school science teacher Jennifer Plourde.
Each and every spring the Granby Land Trust is reminded how fortunate Granby is that Jamie Gamble chose to preserve this beautiful place, which is alive with activity right now. Don Shaw, Jr. captured its spring visitors in these photos.
The Town of Granby and Rider Productions, LLC are pleased to announce the return of the Sunset Concert Series in July. On three consecutive Saturdays, July 9, 16 and 23, the concerts will be held at Salmon Brook Park. Proceeds will benefit Granby Parks and Recreation, Habitat for Humanity, Waste Not Want Not food pantry, and Specialist Richard C. Emmons III Memorial Fund.
This year the Friends of Granby Public Library’s (FOGPL) 39th annual Used Book Sale will be held on July 29, 30 and 31 at Holcomb Farm. FOGPL will start accepting donations in June.

A mysterious gravestone was found face down in a corner of the Cooley Cemetery on East Street in spring 2018. It was discovered by Cheryl and Chris Klemmer when they stopped to take a picture of the new cemetery sign.

Marissa P. We all are aware of the daily issues of playing defense against a barrage of ransomware challenges when it comes to managing the personal and business information on our computers. We need to constantly monitor and update firewalls to protect our private and critical data on the internet or we become victims of nation states and/or mercenaries.

On Nov. 3, the Granby Land Trust held its annual meeting at Holcomb Farm’s North Barn. About 70 people turned out to enjoy the company of conservation-minded neighbors over a delicious potluck supper and to learn about the many 2019 accomplishments of the Granby Land Trust.
