Welcome our new Town Manager, Erica Robertson. After 20 years working in Farmington Town Hall, most recently as Assistant Town Manager, Robertson was offered and accepted this important leadership position and started work here on Sept. 20.
Welcome back, Granby! Summer has passed, a much better summer than last year—unless you’re a farmer. Unfortunately, COVID is still making its impact.
Summer is here! Fourth of July, strawberries, swimming, summer camps, vacation and, dare I say it, travel!
We are free! Mask-free! Not 100 percent of the time, but today, as I write this, is the first time in 15 months that I can legally and ethically go mask-less both outdoors and indoors —imagine!
Spring is here and summer just around the corner. And we are turning the corner on COVID too.
Public budget workshops are over, and the mill rate looks like it will be kept to zero again, pending any last-minute surprises. Read details on the town website (granby-ct.gov) where the “budget book” should be posted under Public Documents by April 1.
Well, Mother Nature and Old Man Winter sure have combined forces, haven’t they? It’s felt like a real New England winter lately, one of our four clearly distinct seasons here in Granby.
Wouldn’t it be nice if Mother Nature sent us some more New England snow sometime this winter? Please, Mother, cloak our town in a nice white blanket, making it look fresh and clean.
I hope you and yours found a way to enjoy a Happy Thanksgiving. We could all use a little more happy in our lives, always.
