If you’re like me, you pause every once in a while, to question your sanity.
One man’s adventure is another man’s waste of time. When asked what fish they most like to pursue, most fishermen will cite the “majestic” species: striped bass, northern pike, tuna, salmon.
Dear Santa:
Wow. What a year, huh? I bet more people than ever, especially those involved in politics, have really tested the line between naughty and nice.
honey hole: A hole, spot, or area containing big fish or lots of catchable fish. Usually requiring an oath of sworn secrecy before your buddy will take you to it.
Sometimes, when you have friends like mine, the stories write themselves. What follows is a series of actual texts between a group of my closest fishing buddies.
“You catching anything?”
I have been watching the man and his boat for a while now, so I know he hasn’t had much luck. But I’m out of hooks and bait, and I don’t have the courage to just ask him if he has any to spare.
