Support for Lofink

I have known Jim Lofink for over eight years, and have worked with him in a number of different capacities. I know from personal experience that whenever Jim decides to take on a commitment, he gives 100 percent of his energy, effort, and focus to the task at hand.

Support for Logan

This note is to support Monica Logan for the Granby Board of Education. I have known Monica since shortly after we both moved to Granby six years ago, and am excited at the possibility of having someone as knowledgeable, dedicated, creative and empathetic as she is to serve our town and the future of Granby on our Board of Education.

Support for Logan

I encourage everyone to vote for Monica Logan for the Granby Board of Education. Monica is committed to listening to all community members and is dedicated to ensuring that the Board of Education discussions and decisions are more open.

Support for Nolan

We were pleased to read that long-time West Granby resident Donna Nolan is running for election to the Board of Education. Granby could certainly use a smart, tireless, responsible advocate like Donna to help strengthen the quality of education in our town with a level of fairness and fiscal discipline.

Support for Nolan and Thrall

I write this letter in support of Donna Nolan and Sarah Thrall for the Board of Education. Sarah Thrall currently serves as Chairman and has navigated the Granby Public Schools through one of the most challenging times in history—keeping our schools open for in-person learning during COVID-19. Sarah’s experience and dedication to the board as a working mom of five means she shows up at every subcommittee meeting, board meeting, graduation, open house, convocation, PAC, SEPTO and PTO meetings and spends countless hours in service to the education of our students. Sarah’s board experience and dedication speaks for itself.

Support for Roberts

We are writing to encourage all Granby residents to vote for Dave Roberts for the Granby Board of Finance in the Nov. 2 election. Dave and his family live in our West Granby neighborhood, and since retiring in 2017 he has been a very active volunteer throughout the Granby community.

Support for Rome

With a modest and endurable confidence, intelligence and genuine care for others, Kelly Rome has been an inspirational mentor in my life for as long as I can remember. As a young adult starting out in my career, it is important to have both female and male role models.

Support for Sanzo

I’m writing in support of Whitney Sanzo for the Board of Education. Whitney and I connected nine years ago when our families were both fostering children.

Thank you, Granby Community Fund

For some, times of difficulty are ever present, as families live paycheck to paycheck; for others, tragedy strikes unexpectedly because of an accident, job loss, serious illness, or even death of a family member. To the extent that funds are available, The Salvation Army responds to unusual situations when people would otherwise fall between the cracks.
