Hang-A-Quilt Day is June 19

Farmington Valley Quilters is sponsoring its third annual Connecticut Hang-A-Quilt Day event on Saturday, June 19 with a rain date on June 20. This free outdoor quilt show will showcase the art and beauty of quilting.

No April Fool’s joke

On April 1, John Dewey captured this photo in his backyard on Copper Hill Road in Granby. The black bear ate from the feeder and eventually broke it—clearly giving Dewey the message that it was time to bring the bird feeders in for the season.
