Two family-owned companies come together to service Connecticut.
Lions Clubs International President Douglas X. Alexander recently appointed West Granby resident Dave Roberts as the Lions’ representative to the United Nations Council of Organizations. In this role, Roberts will represent over 1.4 million Lions at this United Nations’ organization.
The Granby Land Trust, along with Granby Public Library and the Friends of Cossitt Library, sponsored a program by John Weeks, Wings Over Dismal Brook Wildlife Preserve, on Oct. 5 in the North Barn at Holcomb Farm.
The Annual McLean Golf Tournament supports the vital McLean Home Care and Hospice program that serves residents at McLean and in the community. The tournament sponsors’ generous support, especially during these difficult times, exemplifies their faith in our mission to serve those in need. On Sept. 13, 104 golfers and 35 sponsors raised over $55,000.
The Northwest Community Bank has continued its generous support through the Neighborhood Assistance Tax Credit Program with a $2,500 donation to support the Foxfield F.A.R.M. foundation.

Granby Land Trust president Rick Orluk presented the 2021 Mary Edwards Friend of the Land Trust Award, the highest honor bestowed by the GLT, to North Granby residents Dave and Jenny Emery, who have been incredibly supportive of the GLT over many years.
