Ted Riggott and Gary Maulucci of West Granby have found a way to give back to their favorite historic village. Beginning in the summer of 2017 and extending to the present, they have devoted hours upon hours of work to an old tobacco shed that represents the grip that West Granby has on them.
Many of my favorite childhood memories involve fishing. It’s what I did to escape the daily upheaval of growing up in our tumultuous, single-parent household.
Granby residents are probably aware that their annual tax bill is determined by the value that the Town Assessor places on their property. Seems like a simple job, right? Definitely not.
Already I miss the trees’ green leaves that offered their shade from the blistering sun’s summer heat. Yet, I am in awe of the beauty of the reds, oranges, yellows, and even browns that blend in together to beautify the landscape.

Holcomb Farm was once again a key stop on the Granby Open Farm day route, organized by the Granby Agricultural Commission, and the many who stopped by enjoyed great hands-on experiences.
