Neighbors, I felt compelled to draft a note to let you all know a little bit about our neighbor and 62nd District State Representative Candidate Mark Anderson.
Connecticut is facing multiple crises: COVID, an economic slowdown, climate change and healthcare. We need leaders in our state government that will listen to science in creating policy.
After reading the September Letters to the Editor, I felt that I had to reply. My husband and I have been residents of the Granby community for 55 years.
The story about the Salmon Brook Monster by Mark Fiorentino in the September Drummer brought back some interesting memories.
Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden released a $2 trillion climate plan, that won praise from the previously-critical Sunrise Movement. Unfortunately, so far as I’m aware, the plan does not include funding for cultured-meat research.
I watched the August 19 Special Meeting via Zoom and was encouraged when Selectman Ballard took the initiative to delineate the proposal by Agbotic for a portion of 107 East St.
Hey Granby! If there is a silver lining to 2020, maybe it’s the opportunity to question and reevaluate what works, what matters, and how prepared/ready we are as individuals and as a community to confront our challenges.

In this time of the pandemic, the Salmon Brook Historical Society has found a way to stay outdoors while sharing Granby’s history. Stroll Through Granby History is an opportunity to both walk and learn while being appropriately distanced from each other because it is all done outside.
