Granby Public Library welcomes library patrons of all ages to participate in a series of fun-filled events this summer that will get you excited about reading, learning and growing together. This year’s theme, Tails and Tales, invites patrons to explore stories and events that feature animals, as well as opportunities to gather with friends and neighbors in a safe, distanced way.

Farmington Valley Quilters is sponsoring its third annual Connecticut Hang-A-Quilt Day event on Saturday, June 19 with a rain date on June 20. This free outdoor quilt show will showcase the art and beauty of quilting.

Guard Gate marker installed on Southwick Rail Trail bike path

Friends of the Southwick Rail Trail and Southwick Historical Society Inc recently installed a Guard Gate marker at the Connecticut/Massachusetts border on Southwick’s bicycle path. The marker was provided by the William G. Pomeroy Foundation to provide communities with historic canal markers.
