Regarding the April 2020 issue of The Granby Drummer, page 3, Minutes of the March 2, 2020 BOS meeting, I see that 54 bear-resistant trash barrels will cost $13,708.

The Drummer continues to impress me with the town information it brings to readers. I read the beginning of your 50 year coverage of town events, budgets and economic information and will read the rest.
The Gathering Room is a great place to get everyone together. Granby Recreation and Leisure Services is not just for youth sports. In the last year, we have rented the Gathering Room at Salmon Brook Park for two graduation parties and a birthday party.

The Granby Community Fund Board of Directors thanks the Granby townspeople for their support of our 2019 Annual campaign. The Granby Community Fund, a 501(c)3 organization since 1960, meets monthly, preparing for a town-wide mailing to support the many valuable programs and services offered to our local citizens.
I am writing to let you know that I’ll be retiring as your Building Official in January. As I’m writing this before Thanksgiving I’ve been counting my blessings and thinking about how lucky I’ve been to have landed here in Granby for the last 12 years.
In his article, Keeping Granby fiscally strong, (Drummer, November 2019), Chairman Michael Guarco explains clearly the mission and strategies of the Board of Finance. He should know, having joined the board in 1982 and then serving as its chair since 1989.
I am honored and excited to be running for re-election as the First Selectman of Granby. I was born and raised in the Farmington Valley and moved to Granby over 25 years ago.
I am writing to offer my support to Monica Logan for election to the Granby Board of Education. Monica and her husband relocated to Granby with their two young sons in part because of the reputation of the Granby school system.
