The Granby Library Association, or GLA, is a small organization that has been working to benefit the Granby community since 1869. You may never have heard of it, but it’s likely you have seen and appreciated some of the projects it has supported.

Simsbury Bank hosts flu shot clinics

Simsbury Bank, in conjunction with the Farmington Valley VNA, will be holding two Flu Vaccine Clinics in October: Friday, Oct. 19, at 981 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury, and Thursday, Oct. 25, at 11 Hartford Avenue, Granby. Both clinics will be from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Granby native Briana Haggerty, has accepted a position as a one-year missionary intern in what was once touted the eleventh most dangerous neighborhood in America. Over-the-Rhine (OTR), a bedroom community of Cincinnati, has seen shadier days.

Master restorers at work on West Granby barn

Ted Riggott and Gary Maulucci of West Granby have found a way to give back to their favorite historic village. Beginning in the summer of 2017 and extending to the present, they have devoted hours upon hours of work to an old tobacco shed that represents the grip that West Granby has on them.
