Jeanne LaPierre participated in the Hang-A-Quilt Day on June 20. The three quilts, part of LaPierre’s Happy series, were hung from a line in front of her North Granby home.
Although the pandemic and Governor Lamont’s “stay at home’ order has kept us pretty much apart physically, the long-running Granby Men’s Breakfast group led by Duncan Rowles has continued to meet in a new virtual environment.
UPS driver Ray Haack is the highlight of the day for every dog in Granby. He’s a hero for lots of humans too!

Round in Common Time is a choral piece written this spring to express love, gratitude and support for the essential workers in the coronavirus pandemic. As a Granby musician and poet, I composed the piece as a song/prayer for those risking their lives to help the rest of us survive.
During these coronavirus times I have been exploring YouTube for documentaries on polar Eskimo culture. This has led to a little reading on the subject as well.
Favarh, which provides programs and services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in and around Granby, is very grateful and appreciative of the funding that we received from the Granby Community Fund during this difficult COVID-19 pandemic.
