On Oct. 19, the Granby Land Trust opened its newest property, the Dismal Brook Wildlife Preserve. Located at 253 Loomis Street in North Granby, the preserve was donated to the Land Trust by longtime board member Jamie Gamble

Celebrating creepy, cute and creative

On Oct. 3, the Granby Public Library hosted Goofy Gourds and Petrifying Pumpkins on the lawn at the main branch. The most outlandish designs earned prizes for participants and everyone received treats —no tricks!

Great fall weather for church fundraiser

First Church of Granby held a fundraiser on Oct. 10 to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association, selling scarves and whoopie pies on a perfect autumn day. Sophie Riggott (l.) and Samantha Bordonaro, both of North Granby, were among the supporters.
