On Saturday, Nov. 13, the First Congregational Church of Granby will host a food safety training class and certification exam. The ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification is recognized nationally and meets food service licensing requirements for the State.

Carol Laun (1934 – 2021)

Carol Anne Marquardt Laun—world traveler, avid cyclist, talented writer, much-respected historian of Granby, and beloved wife, mother, and grandmother—passed away on June 20, 2021, at the age of 87. She faced the end of her journey, after a recurrence of ovarian cancer, with the same courage, grace and organizational skill that she brought to everything else in her life.

Air Museum expands hours and offerings

In a sign that things are starting to get back to normal in the museum world, the New England Air Museum has announced an expansion of its hours to accommodate more visitors while enabling them to maintain a comfortable distance from others. The new hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the museum will be open every day from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
