For the past few years, I have mowed a section of lawn only once a year, after the frost. This kept the maple and oak sprouts down but allowed for the development of a meadow.

Appearing on the first page of the March 2022 edition of the Drummer was an article entitled: Granby answers state call for Affordable Housing Plans. The name(s) of the author(s) are missing.
I am writing with concern that the Town of Granby is considering selling the former Kearns School property. With all the recent town real estate approvals for residential housing and apartments, it seems that town officials haven’t given enough thought and foresight to consider the additional families who will be moving to Granby.
A significant portion of the agricultural-innovation funding announced at COP26, the United Nations Climate Change Conference, should be directed toward cultivated-meat development. For those who aren’t familiar with the term, cultivated meat is grown from cells, without slaughter.
I write to encourage all Granby voters to support Sally King for the Board of Selectmen on Election Day, Nov. 2.
I have known Jim Lofink for over eight years, and have worked with him in a number of different capacities. I know from personal experience that whenever Jim decides to take on a commitment, he gives 100 percent of his energy, effort, and focus to the task at hand.
