Holiday gift sale at GPL

For the month of December, the Friends of Granby Public Library will have books and DVDs available to purchase for gift giving this holiday season. There will be a number of items for children and adults with a variety of different areas of interest, such as gently used Holiday CDs, DVDs, and books, coffee table books, and other items great for stocking stuffers.

Funding available for home repairs

The Town of Granby has funding available for a Housing Rehabilitation Loan Program that provides funding to income-eligible property owners for housing related repairs.

Behind the scenes, a huge amount of preparation went into hosting the largest election turnout in Granby history—during a pandemic. Granby had a turnout of 88.43 percent, with 7,398 ballots cast, out of 8,366 eligible voters.

Balancing today with tomorrow

At its September meeting, all six members of the Board of Finance supported using the General Fund over the next few years to offset all or a portion of the projected Debt Service for the capital projects approved last year. The intent is to help flatten the rate of increase in the mill rate over the next few years.
