Barrel Placement: At the curb, please leave a two-foot gap between your barrels so the automatic arm can grab the barrel. Barrels should never be placed in the road.

Much needed radio system update nears completion

In 2018 it had been 25 years since the Town of Granby updated its police/fire/ambulance communication system. The dispatch console was 24 years old; the radio equipment was 20-30 years old. Parts were no longer available, so repair was not possible. The two-tower radio system installed in 2000 barely covered 50 percent of the town.

BOF targets mill rate change under 3 percent
|
At its Feb. 9 meeting, the Granby Board of Finance reviewed all then-available pertinent information that would impact the FY27 budget, took public comment and set operating budget guidelines at no more than its initial Plus One budget’s net impact on the mill rate. The municipal operating projection is for a 2.38 percent increase.

The Granby Plan of Conservation and Development (POCD) Committee wants your input for Granby’s POCD update. The POCD Committee has scheduled its second public workshop for Thursday, March 12 at 7 p.m. in the Granby Senior Center. Please come and share your thoughts about Granby to help guide the growth and development for the next 10 years.
