Registration is required for all library programs unless noted. To learn more about upcoming programs, sign up for the library’s monthly eNewsletter. For the most updated information on dates and programs, refer to the library’s online calendar.
If it’s April, then the FY27 budget vote is right around the corner. That vote will occur on Monday, April 20, and you can vote in town hall between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Absentee ballots are also available from the town clerk.
The Connecticut Department of Revenue Services (DRS) has announced the 2026 Connecticut Neighborhood Assistance Act Program Proposal. This program provides tax credits to non-profit 501(c)(3) businesses that make cash investments in qualifying community non-profit programs.
The Granby Public Library will host a town-hall-style forum on Saturday, April 25 at 10:30 a.m. to share information about the Next Chapter Campaign—an effort to raise $3 million toward the library’s planned $12 million renovation and expansion.
This new committee will oversee various building and capital projects. Members will be appointed for five–year terms.
Holidays: Good Friday (April 3) is not a trash holiday. Trash barrels must be out on your regularly scheduled day.
The focus of the Social Services Department is to coordinate existing federal, state, regional and local services, to increase community awareness of these services and to develop new programs to meet the needs of Granby residents.
In 2018 it had been 25 years since the Town of Granby updated its police/fire/ambulance communication system. The dispatch console was 24 years old; the radio equipment was 20-30 years old. Parts were no longer available, so repair was not possible. The two-tower radio system installed in 2000 barely covered 50 percent of the town.
