The Town Clerk’s Office reminds veterans of an important upcoming deadline. If you have not yet filed your DD-214 Military Discharge Form, please stop by the Town Clerk’s Office before Sept. 30. Filing ensures veterans can receive the Veteran’s Exemption discount on the assessed value of real or personal property for the Town of Granby’s October 1 Grand List.

Accepted DD-214 submissions:

  • Original ink-signed DD-214
  • Digitally e-signed DD-214 or Certified raised seal copy from a VA certifying authority
  • Certified copy of a DD-214 filed in a prior town of residence

Please note: Per state statutes, photocopies cannot be accepted.

To qualify, veterans must have been Honorably Discharged as indicated on the DD-214, and have served during a time of war.

Need help obtaining your DD-214? Visit the Town Clerk’s website, granby-ct.gov/279/Veterans-Discharge

Thank you to all who have proudly and bravely served our country.
