The October issue had a photo of Lew McIntyre being recognized for his service to Stony Hill Village. Our caption read “retirement after 40 years of service.” Mr. McIntyre’s service with Stony Hill Village was 25 years.
Further, Town Clerk Scott Nolan was misidentified.

New Grange officers installed

On Oct. 8, Connecticut State Grange Chief Deputy Peter Keefe and his Winchester Grange Installation Team visited Granby Grange to install the newly elected 2023-24 Granby Grange Officers. 

Canine dementia explained

As our canine companions age, they may start to show signs of dementia not all that different from the signs of dementia seen in aging people. Canine Cognitive Dysfunction, or CCD, is the dog’s version of Alzheimer’s disease.

Transfer Station hours: The transfer station will be open Wednesday mornings (8 a.m. to noon) through Nov. 15. The transfer station will be open on Saturday, Nov. 11.
