The focus of the Social Services Department is to coordinate existing federal, state, regional and local services, to increase community awareness of these services and to develop new programs to meet the needs of Granby residents.

The horse farm at 31 Wells Road has sprung back to life as a non-profit organization whose mission is to help traumatized individuals, such as veterans, front-line workers and the grief-stricken, to deal with their trauma. Its title, Emerald Springs Equine Services, tells you that horses are an integral part of this process, but not in the way you might be thinking.
One of Granby’s most beloved events is back: Open Farm Day, a free experience for Granby and surrounding communities, will be held on Sept. 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. After planning was paused in 2020 due to pandemic safety concerns, the Granby Agricultural commission is thrilled to resume this fun family event.
