The Destiny Africa Children’s Choir 2018 World Tour is coming to Granby. This multi-talented children’s choir has been touring worldwide since 2009 and delivers an amazing, heartfelt experience of joy and hope.
A public meeting will be held on September 26, 2018 at 7 p.m. at the Granby Senior Center, 15C North Granby Road, located behind Town Hall. This is an opportunity for the public to review the proposed roundabout and offer feedback.
Representing the Kearns Community Center Steering Committee, Alicia Newton and Elliot Altomare presented the group’s proposal to the town at the July 16 Board of Selectmen meeting. To meet its mission statement, (“a place to connect, empower and sustain our community”), the committee has produced a proposal that is designed to succeed without tax support, meaning that the town would no longer be responsible for the cost of maintaining the building.
Connecticut’s Granby Chamber of Commerce will sponsor its annual Celebrate Granby event Sept. 20-22 in Salmon Brook Park.
Following months of planning and fundraising efforts, the Marquis of Granby Junior Ancient Fyfe and Drum Corps traveled to Scotland this summer. Everyone had a great time.
