CSAG scholarship deadline is May 1

Community Scholarship Association of Granby (CSAG) offers annual scholarships to graduating Granby Memorial High School seniors. Applicants must be Granby residents who are soon-to-be high school graduates accepted at an institution of higher learning approved by the selection committee.

Cookies galore!

Continuing their seven-year tradition, members of the Granby Senior Center’s Civic Engagement Team baked enough cookies so that each Granby Memorial High School senior received a selection.

Abigail Phelps essay contest winners named

Families, teachers and members of the Abigail Phelps chapter of DAR gathered on March 8 to recognize winners of the American History essay contest. The essay topic was in honor of the 400th anniversary of the voyage of the Mayflower and the founding of the Plymouth Colony. 

Students in grade 5–8 were to imagine being one of the passengers on the Mayflower.

Household Hazardous Waste: Granby will again partner with local towns to host hazardous waste collections. The first collection will be Saturday, April 25, 8 a.m.–1 p.m. at 10 Monteith Drive, Farmington.
