Art Contest: “Impressions”—Granby and the Pandemic
This recipe is from my friend Carolyn. I was looking to make something that would take advantage of our heading into the farm-fresh veggie season.
The other day, as I was walking through the Granby Cemetery, a gravestone caught my eye, that had AVERY written on the top and COLTON beneath it, specifically, Fred M. Colton. Across the street, I could see the Town Hall Complex and the Public Library, where 100 years ago, it would have been farm fields.
The focus of the Social Service Department is to coordinate existing federal, state, regional and local services, to increase community awareness of these services and to develop new programs to meet the needs of Granby residents. The CT Alert service allows you to sign up to get emergency alerts on your mobile phone, work phone, in text messages, email, home phone and more. The system will be used to notify residents about imminent threats to health and safety.
UPS driver Ray Haack is the highlight of the day for every dog in Granby. He’s a hero for lots of humans too!
