Friends of Cossitt

Cossitt support The Friends of Cossitt Library wish to thank the thoughtful townspeople who donated to the Cossitt Book Gift Tree Project this past December. Fifty-eight seniors enjoyed receiving holiday gifts of books at the Granby Senior Center lunch, and 28 children from 9 months to 17 years received gift books through Granby Social Services. Warm Up At Cossitt

Warm Up At Cossitt Drop into Cossitt Library this very cold winter and enjoy a hot cup of coffee, tea or cocoa and a warm welcome. The Friends continue to offer a cup of comfort while patrons browse the new DVDs, best sellers, the excellent selection of magazines and recorded books, etc.  There are always seasonal and new books in the Children’s Room and something to create or color on the table for the younger patrons. The Granby Camera Club will meet on Monday, Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. at the Granby Senior Center. Prasad Menon will present a program on Flash Photography. Edna Zimmer In Memory of… Edna Zimmer died peacefully on January 8 at the age of 96 at The Mountain View Center, in Rutland, Vt. Bill Simanski named Assistant Rep Leader

Simanski named Assistant Republican Leader Bill Simanski recently began his third two-year term representing the 62nd General Assembly District that includes Barkhamsted, Granby, Hartland and New Hartford.
