Shirley Murtha is ubiquitous and the Drummer readers are the beneficiaries! How one person can produce so much good journalism month after month is astounding.
If Senators Chris Murphy and Richard Blumenthal care about animal welfare, they should support federal funding for cultured-meat research. For those who don’t know, cultured meat is grown from cells, without slaughtering nonhumans.
It’s the time of year where many of us give thanks for the blessings in our lives. In Granby, we have a lot to be thankful for.

A recent letter to the editor claims that the Connecticut Republican Assembly is a radical organization and cites its thirteen principles as concerning. I had never heard of this organization so I checked into it.

Hey Granby! If there is a silver lining to 2020, maybe it’s the opportunity to question and reevaluate what works, what matters, and how prepared/ready we are as individuals and as a community to confront our challenges.
