Granby’s General Fund often shares the focus of the yearly budget process. While the operating budget itself can be viewed as similar to an income and expense statement as in business, the general fund is the checkbook through which all that budget activity runs and, in the end, is the repository for all of those monies coming in and going out—not just for the year but over the years since inception.
Erica Robertson, town manager, resigned last month, so per the charter, First Selectman Mark Fiorentino has assumed the role.

The Finance Board conducted a public hearing on April 10 to discuss the proposed budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024, available on the town website, in the Town Hall and in the Library since April 6.

Granby Food Pantry is located at 248 Salmon Brook Street. Pantry hours are Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. to noon and Thursday, 2 to 3:30 p.m.
