As we enter December and the holiday season, a lot is going on at Town Hall. For instance, on Saturday, Dec. 6, the annual Tree Lighting to bring in the season will be held outside of the library at 4:30 p.m.
Trash Holidays, 2026 Recycling calendar, Extra trash and recycling, Christmas trees, Transfer Station hours, Salt and sand, and Winter operations

Trash Holiday: Please be aware that Thursday, Nov. 27 (Thanksgiving) is a holiday for USA Waste & Recycling. All Thursday and Friday trash and recycling pickups will be delayed by one day that week.
At 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 2, daylight savings time will end and we will set our clocks back one hour. That it is a good reminder to replace smoke alarm batteries. It is also a good time to check the age of your smoke alarms. The life expectancy of a smoke alarm is 10 years. If you are unsure as to the age, it would be a good idea to replace the unit.

Fall is in full swing here in Granby, and it’s time to adjust for the cold weather and plan for leaf cleanup. The chill in the early morning air slides away as the sun comes out, and there’s lots to see and do around town.
