Transfer Station extended hours: The Transfer Station will be open Wednesday mornings from 8 a.m. until noon beginning Wednesday, April 10th. The extended hours will be in effect through Wednesday, May 22nd.

STEAP grant provides funds to renovate Senior Center kitchen

The Town announces the recent award of a grant from the State to renovate the Senior Center kitchen facilities. The grant is provided through the Small Town Economic Assistance Program (STEAP), which delivers grants to small towns for capital projects.

The focus of the Social Services Department is to coordinate existing federal, state, regional and local services, to increase community awareness of these services and to develop new programs to meet the needs of Granby residents.

Town advisory committee to manage participatory process to allocate grants

The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving has established a Greater Together Community Fund for each of the 29 towns in the Greater Hartford region, which includes Granby. The Hartford Foundation has since provided each Community Fund with $180,000, with $70,000 being maintained in the Funds’ endowments and the remaining $110,000 to support current grantmaking efforts.

Charter Revision Committee applauded

At its Feb. 20 meeting, the Granby Board of Selectmen honored the members of Granby’s Charter Revision Committee for the important work they did for the town in 2023.
