It was a banner year for the Fine Arts Charity that was established in 2017 in memory of Sylvia Davis Patricelli. She was an internationally recognized portrait painter who lived with her husband and daughter in Granby for four years after leaving her home country of Australia.

We are afraid of COVID
And yes, it is alarming
But something no one mentions
Is the disease within our own heart
Ice caps are melting. Weather is out of whack. Rainforests are being cut down. States are burning.
The rain falls as if the ground pulls at it with a magnet. Unwillingly. Fall rain. Please fall. I let the droplets caress my smile, my eyelids, and my cheeks. I soak it in, staring up at the black sky.
SBAC testing began this week for fifth grade students; fourth graders will take their tests next week, and third graders the following week. AP testing begins on May 3.
This school year will be marked as the year the Granby Public Schools developed and implemented Stronger Together: A Working Plan for a Responsive Return to the Granby Public Schools.
