It’s finally fall, and all I find myself thinking about making is soups, chilis, and bisques! I have so many great soup recipes it was difficult to pick just one for this month’s column.

Granby’s annual Open Farm Day, held Sept. 15, was a perfect opportunity to get up close with the farm animals in town. This youngster was captivated by the calves at House of Hayes.
Holcomb Farm was once again a key stop on the Granby Open Farm day route, organized by the Granby Agricultural Commission, and the many who stopped by enjoyed great hands-on experiences.
