This month I am sharing a recipe that my good friend Jen made for me recently. It is very easy to make and is the ultimate comfort food as it has BACON in it! The recipe is from the Pioneer Woman, and as usual I made some modifications which I note in parenthesis below.
There are certain recipes that we tend to make frequently, whether it’s because they are easy to make, are our favorites, or they bring back fond memories. I was fortunate enough to have a wonderful mother who was also a great cook, and I remember the meals that would repeat several times during the month.
One of my favorite places to get recipe ideas is Halfbakedharvest.com and this month I am sharing a recipe from that site. I made it for the first time tonight, it was fast and easy and so delicious.
This month I am going to share one of my favorite recipes—it’s not exactly a typical “dinner,” but if you have ever had just chips and salsa for dinner or you just want to be a hit at the next party, then this one is for you.
I am so happy that the local farms are starting to open and we can once again get fresh vegetables and fruits. I love asparagus season and am always on the lookout for a new recipe that showcases this versatile veggie.
Even though I grew up in Granby, I lived in Arizona for years and lately I have been craving some good Mexican street tacos. I found a great recipe on Half-baked Harvest website and decided to give it a try, and WOW, amazing!
Frequent readers of this column know that I hurt my leg and have been less than 100 percent. I have recently gone back to work in the office and the women I work with decided to help me out with a food train.
Well, 2021 is off to an interesting start—instead of going to Florida as I had planned at the beginning of February—I decided to fall down a step and go to the ER. No broken bones, but some messed up tendons and muscles in my leg.
