Recently a student in a photography class at the high school asked the Camera Club members if they could donate a film camera to use in the course.
As friends and family gather around our Thanksgiving tables, we give thanks to the Creator for His Blessings. We share food, fellowship, laughter, memories and plans for the future.
The CT Department of Veterans Affairs in Rocky Hill sponsors an annual Stand Down Day in which 200 service support groups participate and over 1,000 veterans attend.

The museum honors American soldiers—specifically from the World War II era—and it was in town for only one day. There is an array of pictures, uniforms, and actual sand from Normandy Beach.
Both libraries will be closed on Monday, Nov. 12 for Veterans Day, and Thursday, Nov. 22 and Friday, Nov. 23 for Thanksgiving.
The Friends of Granby Public Library (FOGPL) wrapped up another successful book sale in September. Overall, the sale generated almost $10,500, all of which goes towards supporting the Granby Public Library with books, magazines, DVDs, museum passes and special programs for all patrons.
Donations were accepted throughout the summer with drop off locations at Geissler’s, YMCA and the library.
