Jennifer Parsons provided updates including that as part of professional learning, a math consultant was in the district and trained middle school math teachers, support staff and the administrative team. There have been four COVID cases in the schools, all were impacted by community events.

The Frederick H. Cossitt Library is on the National Register of Historic Places. The Friends of the library will be doing a series of articles to help Granby residents understand why this is important and how it works.
The focus of the Social Services Department is to coordinate existing federal, state, regional and local services, to increase community awareness of these services and to develop new programs to meet the needs of Granby residents.
The 2020 COVID precautions are being implemented again this year to ensure the safety of both poll workers and voters. If you plan to come to the polls please plan for a long wait, be patient, wear a mask, and dress warmly—it will take extra time to vote, especially with 10 races to cast votes in.
In the last issue of the Drummer, it was reported that Standard and Poor—one of the key municipal credit rating agencies—had reaffirmed our rating at AA+. That allowed the town to recently borrow at a favorable rate of interest on its bonds (1.55 percent net).
Transfer Station hours: In addition to Saturdays, the transfer station will be open Wednesday mornings (8 a.m. to noon) through Nov. 17.
