Poll workers needed, Voter registration, and No Primary, Nov. 7 is Election Day
Unless noted, programs are free and are at the Main Branch. Registration is required for all programs. To register, visit the library’s website (granby-ct.gov/Library) and click on Library Calendar, or call the library at 860-844-5275.
The focus of the Social Services Department is to coordinate existing federal, state, regional and local services, to increase community awareness of these services and to develop new programs to meet the needs of Granby residents.
Applications to receive an absentee ballot are being collected now by the Town Clerk for those who know they will be away from home on Nov. 7. The form is available at Town Hall or at sots.ct.gov
Trash holiday: Monday, Sept. 4, is Labor Day and a holiday for Paine’s Inc. All trash/recycling pickups will be delayed by one day the week after the holiday.
Composting can be quick, easy, and it’s earth friendly
Independence Day: Tuesday, July 4 is a holiday for Paine’s. All Tuesday through Friday trash pickups will be delayed by one day.
As the town wrapped up fiscal year 2023, we were again reminded that in April, the boards worked to develop a fiscally responsible budget for the upcoming fiscal year that was supported by the taxpayers.
