While the town boards annually prepare the fiscal year’s budget and operations plan, there is also a process of looking ahead at the capital needs of both buildings and infrastructure. Within the annual budget proposal are components that deal with the ongoing obligation to take care of what we have.

Two years ago in this paper, I introduced myself to the community of Granby. In that introduction, I offered up a host of financial metrics on the Town of Granby.
In this Drummer article, I’ll refresh some of those metrics as an introduction to the coming FY27 budget process.
The focus of the Social Services Department is to coordinate existing federal, state, regional and local services, to increase community awareness of these services and to develop new programs to meet the needs of Granby residents.
There are important meetings about Granby’s annual budget in the coming months. Residents are encouraged to participate in all phases of the budget process by attending meetings.
Winter storms and the resulting snow removal can be a challenge for all Granby residents. We do our best to keep the roads passable and safe. Please note these suggestions, ordinances and rules to ensure a safe winter season for all.
