Farmington Valley Chorale holiday performances

The Farmington Valley Chorale with Ellen Gilson Voth, artistic director, will perform excerpts from Johann Sebastian Bach’s Christmas Oratorio (Weihnachts-Oratorium) in two December concerts in Granby. The oratorio relates the Christmas story in dramatic style and contains many familiar themes that have been used by other composers in Christmas music settings.

Artists from across New England entered their art in the 2018 Granby Land Trust Art Show: Celebrating New England’s Natural Beauty. The artists found inspiration in beautiful natural landscapes across New England, including a number of properties preserved by the Granby Land Trust, such as the Ann Pelka Preserve, the Mary Edwards Mountain Property and Lost Acres Orchard.

The Granby Education Foundation has again demonstrated its strong support of the Bruce Porter Memorial Music Series (BPMMS) with a grant of $2,000 for the 2018-19 Season.
