The third annual Connecticut North Men’s Senior Baseball League (CNMSBL) All-Star game was held on Sunday, Sept. 15, at Dunkin Donuts Park in Hartford. After a several hour rain delay, four Granby Cubs players and one coach represented the team at this year’s game.

On Sept. 15, Susan Witkos Grigely was honored and inducted into the Connecticut Field Hockey Hall of Fame. Susan, also known as “Grigs,” graduated from Granby Memorial High School in 1986.

Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame star Rebecca Lobo is best known for her career highlights on the court playing for UConn, the New York Liberty and the USA’s Olympic Team, but as a Granby resident with her husband, author Steve Rushin, and their four children, she is an active participant in the Granby community and a stalwart at the Farmington Valley YMCA.
