Wells Road students donated PJs for foster care kids

The Connecticut Children’s Medical Center sponsored a fundraiser, “PJ Day” on Dec. 12, during which both cash and warm pajamas were donated. In conjunction with the medical center’s program, Wells Road Intermediate School also collected pajama donations for Beyond Bedtime, a program that gets warm PJs to children in need.

New bleachers at high school

Granby Memorial High School has new bleachers in the gymnasium, marking a milestone in the school’s ongoing efforts to improve campus infrastructure and enhance experiences for students, families and community members.

Long range capital planning underway

As highlighted in prior articles as well as at several board meetings, the Granby Capital Program Priority Advisory Council (CPPAC), which is responsible for defining capital projects, creating prioritization criteria and recommending a five-year capital Project Improvement Plan, is getting closer to its proposed bond request for board of selectmen approval.

Westfield Bank held toy drive

Westfield Bank employees, customers and community members provided new toys and books to children in local communities across Western Massachusetts and Connecticut through its annual toy drive.
