GRANBY BOARD OF EDUCATION MINUTES

The collaborative effort with East Granby Public Schools for providing breakfast and lunch to East Granby students is going extremely well. For the month of February, a daily average of 170 breakfasts and 224 lunches were served.

Granby History Stroll returns

If you missed the Salmon Brook Historical Society’s award-winning Stroll through Granby History in October or you did not make it to all 32 sites, you are in luck—The Stroll is returning from Friday, May 28 to Friday, June 25.

The Drummer garners awards in state contest

In its first foray into journalism competitions, the Granby Drummer came away with a number of honors from the Connecticut Press Club’s 2020 Communications Contest. The contest is held annually and spans a variety of categories—e.g., news writing, specialty articles, speeches, columns, personality profiles, photo essays, books, and more.

Berkshire Hathaway’s Nancy Reardon is top sales agent

The Granby office of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England Properties is pleased to announce that Nancy Reardon has been named the #1 Sales Agent in 2020 for having the highest number of sales. This award encompasses the entire Berkshire Hathaway New England properties network in Connecticut, Rhode Island and New York.

Granby students recognized at DECA conference

Connecticut DECA hosted a virtual state conference this year for the first time, modifying a usually-packed event at the Aqua Turf Club. With over 58 chapters and 2,500 student competitors and advisors, Connecticut DECA kept students engaged and more inspired than ever during the historic virtual competition.
