Do you oppose border tolls? “Border tolls would raise a substantial amount of money for this state.” That’s what the co-chair of the state legislature’s Transportation Committee said recently. So brace yourselves, Granby Drummer readers. The issue of building border tolls has returned at the State Capitol. If built, the tolls could cost between $3 and $7 per car. I am delighted that the Drummer December 2014 issue included the article in remembrance of Fred Wilhelm, Sr., written by Trish Percival and Rick Orluk. The article noted that the family planted a gingko tree, in memory of Fred. Cossitt support The Friends of Cossitt Library wish to thank the thoughtful townspeople who donated to the Cossitt Book Gift Tree Project this past December. Fifty-eight seniors enjoyed receiving holiday gifts of books at the Granby Senior Center lunch, and 28 children from 9 months to 17 years received gift books through Granby Social Services.
