Finance Targets Limiting Mill Rate Change to 1 percent

At its meeting on Feb. 15, the Board of Finance reviewed all available projections for revenue and expenses as known at that time. Acknowledging both the increase in costs of operating, as we all are experiencing at home, and the tight finances many families continue to experience, the BOF narrowed its focus to limiting the upcoming FY23 overall budget to an increase in the mill rate of 1 percent.

Notice of Democratic Caucus

Pursuant to the Rules of the Democratic Party and State election laws, you are hereby notified that a caucus will be held on March 28, 2022 at 6 p.m. at the Granby Senior Center to endorse delegates to the State Conventions in May.

Granby answers state call for Affordable Housing Plans

In 2017, Connecticut Public Act 17-170 called upon each town and municipality to develop an affordable housing plan. The draft of the Affordable Housing Plan will be available for review and posted on the town’s website by March 10.

Social Services

The focus of the Social Services Department is to coordinate existing federal, state, regional and local services, to increase community awareness of these services and to develop new programs to meet the needs of Granby residents.
