Granby resident Elizabeth Hardersen, 41 Twilight Drive, addressed the board with concerns of residents feeding bears in their yards. She presented to the board a proposed ordinance that came from another town, in hopes it could be a guide for Granby.
Michael Fitzgerald, 25 Strawberry Fields, addressed the commission. Fitzgerald expressed concerns about 29 Bushy Hill Road, Clark Farms.
The focus of the Social Services Department is to coordinate existing federal, state, regional and local services, to increase community awareness of these services and to develop new programs to meet the needs of Granby residents.

Consideration of an application seeking a Special Permit under Zoning Regulations Sections 3.5.2.10 and 8.21.4, personal service in the Aquifer Protection Overlay Zone, massage center, for property located at 345 Salmon Brook Street.
First Selectman Kuhnly opened the public hearing and stated the purpose of the hearing is to receive public comment regarding the approval of proposals for the Connecticut Neighborhood Assistance Act Tax Credit Program.
In honor of National Voter Registration Day, candidates who are running for the Granby Board of Education on the November ballot have been invited to attend a Candidate Forum being sponsored by the registrars office.

Both libraries will be closed on Monday, May 27. Beginning July 1, the Cossitt Branch Library will change its hours to: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays, 3 – 8 p.m. and Saturdays, 2 – 5 p.m.

On May 27, Granby folks turned out for the annual Memorial Day Parade and convocation that honors Granby men and women who gave their lives for their country.
