The Granby Police Department has been awarded national accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) at the commission’s recent conference in Huntsville, Ala. This achievement signifies GPD’s commitment to professional excellence.
A household hazardous waste collection will be held Saturday, June 8, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Simsbury DPW facility, 66 Town Forest Road.

Director of Community Development Abby Kenyon explained Section 8-24 of the Connecticut General Statutes requires municipal improvements be referred to the Planning and Zoning Commission for a report before any local action is taken.
The municipal ballot for Nov. 5 will contain openings for many different boards and offices, and over 20 candidates are expected to run for both Board of Selectman and Board of Education seats.

The Friends of Granby Public Library (FOGPL) will begin to accept donations on June 1. In the meantime, please start to set aside any donations for the big annual book sale event that will be held Sept.
