Granby Artists’ Pop-Up Arts & Crafts at Lost Acres Vineyard

After a long pause due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Granby Artists Association is launching a new event series at Lost Acres Vineyard this summer. We’re all excited to get up, out and into action and the Granby Artists Association is grateful to the Vineyard for this opportunity.

Thoughts While on a Walk

What a Blessing it is to see the flowers blooming in the yards,
To hear songbirds singing in the now leafed trees,

Marquis of Granby, after a pause

Drive by the American Legion Post 182 on North Granby Road and you might notice a bus parked in the back, with Marquis of Granby lettered on its sides. It is the much-cherished transport of the local all-youth Ancient Fyfe & Drum Corps.

Back in the Day and the Family Doctor

As a child, my family only went to the doctor when we were really ill. For financial reasons, most common problems were treated at home — for a sore throat, gargling with salt and water; for sprains, soaking in warm water and Epsom salt; for colds and coughs, Vicks VapoRub, honey, and cough syrup from the drug store (sometimes prescribed by the doctor); for cuts and scrapes, peroxide.

Art exhibit open to public

Granby artist Alexander Anisimov invites the public to An Exhibition of Things Called Art, at 2 Park Place Gallery in Granby center.
