The Farmington Valley Chorale announces its return to “safe and sound” in-person rehearsals starting Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. Now in its 51st year, the chorale has met virtually since the start of the pandemic. In announcing the return to in-person singing, artistic director Ellen Gilson Voth commented that “live music making is life-giving and energizing for us while we keep health and safety as a top priority.”

Chorale president Jerry Queen added that “strict safety protocols, including proof of COVID-19 vaccination, physical distancing and masking, will be followed.”

Rehearsals are held at Simsbury United Methodist Church, 799 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury, from 7 to 9 p.m. No auditions required. For more information, email
