Granby football’s magical season comes to a close

On a cold and wet night in the Den, the Bears fell 56-28 to the Wildcats. Seymour jumped on a few early mistakes by the Bears’ offense and they never looked back. On Saturday, November 7, the girls beat a strong Burlington team 4–0 in the Connecticut Cup championship match. This season long, single elimination tournament is sponsored by the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association and involved 42 town travel teams. Granby high graduate ran USMC marathon with dad this fall

Hanna Adams, 2011 graduate of Granby Memorial High School successfully completed the 26.2 mile Marine Corps Marathon with her father, John Adams, on Sunday Oct. 25 in Washington, D.C. Hanna worked hard to overcome right-sided hemiplegia and train to reach her goal of becoming a marathon runner. With her dad’s support, Hanna joined a Boston Fit running group this past spring and never missed a training session. The Granby Memorial High School class of 1975 held its 40th reunion over Labor Day weekend. On Sept. 5, the group gathered at Vito’s by the Water in Windsor.
