The mini gym team, The Wizard of Oz, was named the highest scoring mini group of the entire competition and the title of top teen duo was awarded to Jade Cloud and Marilé Marzo. NEDC dancers achieved 3 out of 5 national dance titles with Juliette Marzo crowned as Junior Miss Superstar, Marilé Marzo crowned as Teen Miss Superstar, and Jade Cloud crowned as Senior Miss Superstar. In addition, Alexandra Walz achieved the top score at Legacy Nationals claiming the title of top teen soloist. Also, through the NYCDA scholarship fund, Jacob Lill was awarded a $40,000 scholarship to Point Park University and an $80,000 scholarship to Marymount Manhattan College. This was a fantastic way to end the 2015-2016 dance season and New England Dance and Gymnastics Centers can’t wait to see what this year will bring for these talented dancers.
