On Sunday, Oct. 2 the New England Air Museum in Windsor Locks will host a gathering of iconic Ford Mustangs to celebrate the completion of the restoration of its WWII era P-51 Mustang fighter aircraft. NEAM’s P-51 was converted to a record-setting racing plane winning the coveted Thompson Trophy at the 1947 Cleveland National Air Races. Coming off a historic season a year ago, Springfield College senior Lauren Holt was chosen to the HERO Sports Division III Preseason All-America First Team. By Ann McGinleyLocal resident Michael Holland (GMHS 2009) has been hiking the Appalachian Trail (AT) since April in an effort to raise money to help find a cure for juvenile diabetes. Holland was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 10 just after moving to Granby over 15 years ago.
