You see, I’m part of a group of consumers that contributes approximately $7 million a year to projects throughout the state designed to conserve and enhance fish and wildlife populations and their habitats. These projects are funded through a program commonly known as the Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program.
On Oct. 14, the Granby Land Trust held its annual meeting on the site of two of its most recent acquisitions: the Seth and Lucy Holcombe Preserve and the Ann Pelka Preserve, on Silver Street in North Granby.
In honor of Mary Edwards’ many contributions to Granby and to the Granby Land Trust, the Land Trust Board established the Mary Edwards Friend of the Land Trust Award, which is given each year at our Annual Meeting.

Celebrate Granby, held Sept. 20-22 in Salmon Brook Park and sponsored by the Granby Chamber of Commerce, featured booths promoting local businesses and non-profit organizations—and carnival rides that provided thrilling experiences for these youngsters.
