Please help Cossitt’s Friends continue our holiday tradition of providing children’s books to include in Granby’s Department of Social Services annual Holiday Gift packages for families.    

Granby Artists Open Studio Tour Oct. 16–17

Celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Granby Artists Association at its annual Open Studio Tour Oct. 16 and 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Meet the artists and see a wide range of artwork including glasswork, woodworking, painting, pottery, jewelry and more.

4-H Sign-up

Granby 4-H sign-up night is planned for Wednesday, Oct. 6 at Holcomb Farm Workshop. This open house from 7 to 8 p.m. will introduce the youth-officer team, leaders and project groups available for the 2021-2022 program year.

Wings Over Granby Land Trust’s Dismal Brook Wildlife Preserve: Tuesday, Oct. 5, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Holcomb Farm North Barn Pavilion. Despite its name, this new Granby Land Trust preserve is anything but dismal for lovers of winged wildlife.

Invasive Action Day

Granby’s next Invasive Action Day to remove invasive plants and plant alternatives is Saturday, Oct. 9.

Things that go Bump in the Night

The Granby Women’s Breakfast Group will rejoin for the first time since COVID on Wednesday, Oct. 6. Reservations are a must since seating is limited.

Trolley Museum offers fall fun

As the fall chill fills the air, and on the darkest of nights, mournful cries of the abandoned dead are heard on the tracks at the Connecticut Trolley Museum in East Windsor. Come for a scare if you dare!

The 27th Annual Holly Boutique Craft Fair and Luncheon will be held at the North Canton Community United Methodist Church Hall, Case Street (Routes 179 and 3) in North Canton on Oct. 14 through 16.
