Student-designed logo will represent Granby Celebrates Juneteenth

On June 18 Granby will celebrate its inaugural Granby Celebrates Juneteenth event in Salmon Brook Park. Sponsored by Granby Racial Reconciliation (GRR), it promises to be a fun day of music, dance, food, and entertainment for the entire family.

Granby gathers in a show of support for Black Lives Matter

The June 3 “protest” in Granby center began as one resident’s heartfelt desire to manifest support for the black community. The original idea, a humble gathering of friends and like-minded community members, quickly burgeoned into an impassioned assemblage of over 400 people.

Formed in 1970, Citizens for a Better Granby— CBG for short—is a community-based, not-for-profit organization whose goal is to inform and educate Granby residents on issues affecting the town of Granby, Connecticut. Its monthly newspaper, the Granby Drummer, provides an independent platform to encourage participation in the civic, social, economic and cultural life of Granby.
